"This short, sewn-bound zine combines Bigou’s drawings with illustrations from a vintage New Caledonia calendar. Seaside flora, fauna, and assorted beach items are softly rendered in pink and blue. Plage treats the beach with warmth and nostalgia, but leaves room for the alien and bizarre lurking in familiar vacation sights."
